As a provider of brand protection services, IPRPShield detects and helps remove fraudulent and infringing uses of our customers’ brands across online channels.
We value privacy rights. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect via our website and service platform (collectively, the “Platform”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We process personal information only for legitimate interests related to our business and in accordance with applicable laws (including, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR and Vietnam’s Personal Data Protection Decree No. 13/2023/NĐ-CP (“PDPL”)).
This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected through the Platform; it does not apply to information collected by IPRPShield in other ways. Our Platform is not directed to children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Revisions will be posted on this website and are effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Platform following any update constitutes your acceptance of the amended Privacy Policy. If you have questions, please contact privacy@iprpshield.com
Personal Information We Collect and How We Use It
The personal information we collect depends on the services you use and how you interact with us. We generally do not process sensitive identifiers such as national ID or full payment card numbers on our own systems; when needed, such data is processed by vetted payment providers. We may collect:
- Login Credentials: To facilitate secure access to our Platform (account, password, multi-factor data).
- Contact Details: Names, emails, phone numbers, company/role, and related information to (i) provide or discuss our services, (ii) send service notices or legal updates you request, and (iii) fulfill contractual obligations.
- Suspected Infringer Information: Names, usernames/handles, emails, IP addresses, domain names, marketplace storefront info, and other identifiers collected from public online sources to detect and prevent infringement, fraud, phishing, sale of counterfeit goods, and other illegal activities affecting our customers’ brands.
- Customer Billing Information: Company billing contacts and limited payment-related details (processed via secure third-party payment providers when applicable).
- Website Usage Data: Device/technical data (e.g., IP address, user agent), pages viewed, session duration, and referral sources to maintain security, improve the Platform, and understand content effectiveness.
- Computer/Device Info: Log and telemetry data necessary for security, auditing, troubleshooting, and fraud prevention.
- Domain Portfolio Support: For customers who ask us to assist with domain registrations/renewals via third-party registrars, we collect contact data needed to process those requests with such registrars and registries.
- WHOIS / Public Sources: We query and process publicly available WHOIS and other registry/registrar data, and other open online sources, in connection with brand-enforcement matters to identify domain owners and service providers used in alleged infringements.
- Employees / Contractors / Candidates: Information necessary to hire, onboard, engage, or evaluate personnel.
Brand-Enforcement Use Case. We collect and use publicly available personal information about suspected infringers from marketplaces, social networks, app stores, and websites to take enforcement actions requested by our customers (e.g., sending notices/takedown requests to platforms, ISPs, registrars, or hosting providers) to stop ongoing illegal or infringing activities.
When you contact us through our website, we may ask for additional information to respond to your request. If you do not provide it, certain features may not be available. We do not send marketing communications without consent where required by law. You can opt out by emailing info@iprpshield.com
or using unsubscribe links where available.
Domain Name Data (When We Assist You)
If you ask us to register/manage domain names through third-party registrars, we will collect registrant/admin/tech/billing contact information required by the registrar/registry to process registrations, renewals, or updates. Those data are provided to the relevant registrar/registry and processed under their terms and applicable ICANN/registry policies. We do not operate our own registrar/WHOIS service; we rely on third parties and publicly available sources. We may retain related records (orders, approvals, support tickets, logs) to confirm authorization and provide support.
Where you provide employee personal data as domain contacts, you represent that you have informed those individuals about (i) providing their data to IPRPShield and relevant registrars/registries, (ii) the purposes of use, and (iii) how they can exercise rights as described below.
Do We Share Personal Information?
We do not sell personal information. We share personal information only:
- With service providers (e.g., hosting, security, analytics, payments, customer support) under contracts requiring appropriate safeguards and use only for our instructions;
